The daughter and granddaughter of Old German Baptist Brethren ministers, she has a deep interest in history, in general, and genealogy and Brethren history, in particular. A Brethren Heritage Board Member since 2011, she is the only BHC board member from another state, since she lives and works in Indiana. She is a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren denomination and has her membership at the Beech Grove congregation near Pendleton, Indiana.
